Fall Festival
Brady had a super-duper fun time at his school's Fall Festival today! The activities were supposed to be outside in the pumpkin patch but with the rainy weather everything was moved to the gym. There were so many fun things to do that I don't think the kids minded at all. Favorites were moonwalk bouncing, face painting, cookie decorating, and miniature golf. The kids were also able to play fun games like pumpkin bowling, pumpkin patch bean bag toss, and ring toss with a giant spider's legs. Crafts included decorating a giant Mr. Pumpkin Head, sponging a pumpkin face, painting a pumpkin with watercolors, and decorating a pumpkin with play-do. Oh, and I forgot to mention, putting your hands in slimy pumpkin goo!

Brady's teacher Ms. Del and a couple of other students. I think Brady is the heart-throb of the class. I kept hearing all the girls say, "Brady, come here," "Brady, come play with me,"and "Brady, let me see your pumpkin." Unfortunately, the girls don't know that Brady only has eyes for one person.
And, here she is: Brady's little girlfriend, Maddie. (We like to ask Brady who he plays with at school by listing off the names of all his classmates. Whenever we mention Maddie's name, he always gets a shy grin and looks down and giggles.)
Everyday after school, I ask Brady what his favorite part of the day was. I totally expected Brady to say moonwalk bouncing or playing fun games but, no, Brady said the best part of his day was "making planchinda!" Shocker! Luckily, his teacher had already told me about this at the fall festival or I would have had no idea what he was talking about. Planchinda is his teacher's German grandmother's recipe for a pumpkin tart. My sweet boy even saved it for us to share. Yum!
Bam Bam Vs. Spiderman
Who would win? Bam Bam with his abnormal strength and caveman club or Spiderman with his amazing powers and web-slinging action. Of course, in the fictional world, Spiderman can kick Bam Bam's butt, but in the Bartels' world, give Bam Bam his club and there's no telling what could happen!
Here's a few pictures from a trip to the neighborhood pumpkin patch yesterday.

Arr!
If you are interested, I only have about 200 pictures of the party. http://www5.snapfish.com/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=2325100008/a=28493439_28493439/. Believe it or not, after all of these pictures, we did not take one family shot or one good picture of Brady and Pirate Steve. Very sad!
My Little Beanie Baby
I know I've posted a picture of Cash eating beans before but I just have to share this one too! If you can't tell, he REALLY, REALLY loves his beans!
Now we know why Cash can fit into the winter clothes Brady wore last year. To be more specific, Baby Cash at one and a half is wearing the clothes Brady wore at age three. Unbelievable!
Boo!
We had a haunting good time at Nathan and Nolan's costume party yesterday! We painted pumpkins, decorated spooky cookies, gobbled up "monster toes" and "bugars on sticks", and surprised each other in our Halloween costumes. The stars of the Monster Bash were: A Little Pumpkin (Aidan), Fancy Nancy (Allison), Flower Girl (Bella), Spiderman (Brady), Bam Bam (Cash), Flower Girl (Kenna), Cowboy (Hogan), Batman (Nathan), Robin (Nolan), Arial (Reese), and Princess (Saige). Thank you Kellie for your "boo"tiful party!
Pumpkin Patch

Pumpkin Patch at GSUMC
Brady is a lucky boy to go to school at Little Lambs. His class has already visited the pumpkin patch twice this month. One time they explored and listened to a story. The next time they picked out a pumpkin to decorate. Every day after school, Brady points and says "there's MY pumpkin patch!" These are pictures from the day I took the boys to choose the pumpkin we are going to carve as jack-o-latern later this month. Cash was disappointed that we could only pick one and not the whole wheelbarrow of pumpkins he was determined to push.
