Hawaii House

Aloha!

We've spent the last couple days swimming again, playing golf (Daddy is 2-0 vs Boompa), hiking in Hanalei and exploring the NaPali coastline. Brady is loving the life, while Cash is still as Keli says 55/45! There is a picture below and it is crooked but it is Cash walking down to the water! I hate to harp on this but if you could see his actions most of the time on the trip (and Keli's reactions to his reactions) you would understand our excitement!

We took a trip to Barking Sands beach with the whole gang and it was absolutely guorjus (as Ali, our new Hawaii friend, says after each of my golf shots). We couldn't swim in the water...unless we wanted to live in the ocean for next 36 hours or however long we could survive drifting further and further out but the scenery is breathtaking. As you can see from the photo...I ran about a mile and a half down the coastline.

Keli and I took a trip down to Hanalei Monday. We passed a sign that read "breakfast burritos" and of course being Texans and liking nothing that is especially good for you...we took a u-turn and went in. Fantastic! So good that I ate one while Keli was shopping and then she wanted one and she got me another one...thanks Keli! We then (on full belly) went for a hike up Ke'e Beach and mountain side...again a breathtaking sight. That is not a parachute on my back in the picture, so no, I did not jump. Keli was holding on tight during the whole hike. Quite comical when a two year old passed her and asked her, "if she was alright!" We headed to Tunnels beach and laid out while I was going to surf...alright boogy board. The surf on the Northside was too high and swimming was not allowed. We continued to lay out until twice the water came up and toppled us over getting everything wet. Keli said let's go South...so we did. We stopped in and ate at Hanalei Gourmet Grill for a bite and no, I did not get a t-shirt!...I already had one from a previous visit!

We got back, spent a couple hours at the beach and then grabbed the rugrats for another swim.

***Did anyone notice that Keli was letting the boys and especially Cash play with a water gun?! Of course they were just water shooters!

11 Days and 10 nights, Day 5

Hello again. Sorry I've been vacating my spot as "the guest blogger"....but I've been falling asleep a little earlier than expected. I'm adjusted now and ready to blog. Before moving venues, Brady and Mommy and Daddy enjoyed the water slide (see photos). I'm suuuuurrrrrre Cashman would have joined us if he wasn't too busy upchucking the whole day long. It seems after Keli (Kelley's Hawaiin name) checked her email that Little Lambs School was 60% capacity after they were hit with a stomach bug. Well that bug left with Cash and followed to Grandma and that's it...for now...

We checked into Brady's Hawaii house Friday and we've been building sand castles (if that's what you would call them), swimming in the pool and even a little boogiie boarding. Brady actually liked the idea of boogie boarding originally then was turned off to it due to the fact that salt was in the water! He adjusted and the enjoyed the beach and boogie board after Daddy told him salt was not bad for you and that 16 other "hive" year olds were in the water and none of them worrying ablut the salt water! Cash...................another story! This may be why people say 2 year olds don't belong in Hawaii! Love him dearly but holy crap! He is the classic 55-45 child. 55% he is happy and 45% he is pissed! Hopefully he will enjoy the water and sand more as he did the first day. Since then, it's been downhill on the beach for him.

We head to Hanalei Bay tomorrow...TBD...

Other items I left out that Keli poked me to put in...No, I did not want Brady decorating cupcakes when he could be surfing with Daddy. Sorry Kelley, if you wanted a (grill) you picked the wrong guy.
