Trick or Treat
Smell My Feet
Give Me Something
Good to Eat!

Practicing our Trick or Treating at home before the real deal to make sure that we had perfected our skills to get the most candy. I'm so glad we decided to do this because these are some of the only pictures I have of them actually together. Brady would run super fast with friends from house to house while Cash liked to take his time and really inspect and show off all of his earnings after each house.

The Whole Gang

The Last Time You Will Ever See This Witch's Hat (A majority of my pictures were ruined because I took them with this hat on so there is a lovely shadow covering the top half of most of the photos.)

Check out the awesome Captain America bag that Ms. Kellie made for him. He loves this thing!

Brady and Cash surprising Granny and Grandma who were back at home passing out candy!

Nice Ms. Kellie also loaned Brady, Nathan's old Batman treat bag because she was convinced that their little orange pumpkin pails were not big enough for all of their goods. She was right!

The Schomburg Spooktacular

Sunday, October 30, 2011

Double, double, toil and trouble,
Fires burn, and caldrons bubble...
Called all witches, goblins and ghosts
The Schomburg Family was our host...
Stopped on by for a trick or treat
Eyeballs and worms, plenty to eat
The fun began right at four
We wore our costume to get in the door!

(taken from Kellie's cute invitation)

The boys had a "spook"tacular time at Nathan and Nolan's annual Halloween party full of awesome crafts, fun games, and yummy (but scary) treats!!!

Here to save the day: Captain America and Batman!!!

Pumpkin Carving

Saturday, October 29, 2011

After our evening at the Boo-Fest, we had dinner with the Messmer family back at our house. The daddies went to the store to buy the food and when they returned, they surprised us with two big pumpkins to carve. Logan was amazing. He rolled up his sleeves and wanted to pull out all the seeds and stringy mushy stuff. He was a pro at it! The other four boys wanted no part of that yucky business. On the other hand, they all loved drawing the faces and helping carve out their designs. In the end, both pumpkins were "boo"tiful!

Here Ye, Here Ye

When we were invited to a little girl's princess birthday party, our friend's mom made sure to tell us ahead of time that the boys were going to have fun too as knights for the day. She did not disappoint, they were given inflatable swords and were able to decorate their own personalized shields with jewels and markers. When they were done, the little guys had a blast sword fighting while the little girls did their princess things. Everything worked out perfectly. (Cash decided the sword fighting was a little much for him and lasted all of about thirty seconds before retreating back to the table to decorate his shield some more in a safe zone. Brady, of course, was all over the sword fight!)

It was hilarious when the boys took their group photo at the end of the party. In the last shot, Cinderella secretly snuck in to join them. When the boys finally noticed, they scattered like flies!!!

Night With Old Friends

Friday, October 28, 2011

We hadn't seen our old friends in a long time so we needed a reason to get together. What better way than a quick impromptu Halloween party! The kids have all known each other since they were babies and if their parents are any indication, they will still be hanging out in twenty years!

Happy 6th Birthday, Brady!

Wednesday, October 26, 2011

It's true, it's true, sweet Brady Bear is SIX YEARS OLD!!! Time sure does fly and my sweet little baby is growing up. Luckily for me, he's every bit as sweet as he was before, he's just a year older. I'm so proud of the big boy he is becoming and of his big, big heart!

For his birthday dinner, we celebrated at Joe's Crab Shack. Let me just tell you, this is the place to go when you're six! They have a playground, you can have a bloody shark drink with your dinner, you get to paint your own dessert (a crab rice crispy treat), and you become a real superhero! The staff introduced Brady as the birthday boy, placed a bib backwards around his neck as his cape, and then told him to fly around the restaurant which he happily did! Where else are you instructed to run in a restaurant??? I have a pretty good feeling we'll be coming back here next year!

Fall Festival

Wednesday, October 26, 2011

I had so much fun volunteering at Little Lambs' Fall Festival and the best part was I got to watch Cash in action! He had a blast making a Mr. Pumpkin Head, having his arm painted by yours truly, decorating a cookie (no icing, of course), shaping play-doh to decorate a pumpkin, making a pumpkin face with stamps, and playing fun fall games. He played the games over and over again, I think he enjoyed the candy corn bowling the best! Cash definitely had an eventful, "fall"tastic day!

Cash wanted a BLUE bat!

Cash decorating his cookie minus the icing.

Knocking all of the sprinkles off so he can eat his plain, boring cookie. Ha!

Cash's teachers were impressed that he stamped the shapes in the perfect places.
