Fun with Buddy

Monday, January 23, 2012

Meet Buddy! He is Brady's classroom mascot which is fitting since they are the Birkes Bulldogs. Every student in the class was lucky enough to have Buddy sleepover for a week. Aftewards, they must document their adventures in a class scrapbook. I know there are a ton of pictures here but there were so many cute ones that I wanted to include them all. Brady and Cash were both so excited to have Buddy stay with us and both sadly cried when we had to return him.

Buddy riding home from school in his car seat.
Buddy doing homework with Brady.
Buddy taking a ride on the golf cart.

Buddy even got to play few holes.

Golf studs!

Brady pushing Buddy in the swing.
I think Buddy loves the park just as much as Brady.
Weeeeee!
Cash wanted to swing with Buddy too!
Hold on Buddy!
Playing Hide and Go Seek with Buddy.
Brady would throw Buddy in the air as high as he could...
...then Cash would catch him!
Jedi Buddy
Super Buddy
Our Scrapbook: Brady cut out pictures and added stickers. He also wrote answers to Mrs. Read's questions. The last page was blank so he could write any additional comments. In Brady's words, this says it all: "I am going to miss Buddy. I wish he was staying with me forever. I love Buddy!"

PAUSE

I must stop blogging now so I can watch DALLAS!!! Wahoo! I just heard the intro and I'm pretty sure my brother is watching as well and about to hit the roof!!!

Monster Truck Show

Saturday, January 21, 2012

Daddy and his friends had a boy's night and took Brady, Cash, Aidan, Andre, and Jack to the ever so manly Monster Truck Show.
 Earmuffs were required!
Brady liked the Grave Digger monster truck the best.
Cash's favorite was the Super-Man monster truck.

Multicultural Day

Little Lambs

After listening to the story, "The Tortilla Factory," all of the kids were treated to a bean and cheese burrito. Yum!
Cash, in true Cash form, ate only a plain tortilla.
The students then decorated a box with foam stickers so they could have their very own African drum. Cash very specifically only wanted blue stickers, his favorite color, and lined them up precisely around the box lid.
All the kids loved playing Pass the Sombrero (similar to Hot Potato)!
While volunteering, I spied on Cash in music class.
And spied some more on the playground! He's the one bundled up in his black jacket about to go on the slide. His teachers say that is all he does on the playground, over and over again!

Question: What do two kids do on winter break when they are bored and you still have wrapping paper laying around?
Answer: Set up a laser beam challenge!!!

Zoosicles

Monday, January 2, 2012

Even though it was freezing outside, we still went to the zoo so we could do something special before Brady went back to school after his winter break. I love the extra week off after Christmas so we can spend some quality time just having fun after the hectic holiday season.
Feeding the giraffes!
Climbing like monkeys!
Slithering like snakes!
Weeeee!
OO-OO-AA-AA-EE-EE!!!
Aaaaah!
We capped off our perfect day by watching the Polar Express 4-D, complete with vibrating seats and snow falling down! It was so fun and reminded us of our very own trip on the Polar Express!
Brrr! It's sooo cold!!!
