Soccer Party

Saturday, November 7

With the end of the soccer season, the team had a party and every player got a medal. Yay! Coach Clay made a speech about each player before they walked up to receive their award. Some team members were the fastest or the most defensive player or scored the most goals, etc. Brady was last to go up and we had no idea what the coach was going to say about him. We were a little nervous that the coach was going to stretch the truth a bit. To our surprise, the coach was right on: "Brady, our most ENTHUSIASTIC player and best team player!" We were so proud! Brady's favorite part of the game has always been the Tiger cheer, "GO TIGERS!"

Proud Brady wore the medal for two days straight. He even held it in his hands while sleeping.

Checkup Time

Wednesday, November 4

We had a 2-for-1 special at the doctor for Brady and Cash's well-visit checkups. Both kids were angels for Dr. Taylor and loved "playing" doctor on the table. Brady thought it was hilarious to pee in a cup and couldn't wait to tell Daddy all about it. Boys! We were all laughs until the dreaded shot time. Brady tried his best to be brave for Cash who was going second. After the first shot (5 total) , Brady cried so hard and said he never wanted to do that again. He didn't even want the Daffy Duck band aids. I haven't broken it to the poor thing yet that he has to go back next month for the flu booster shot. After promising sweet Brady an ice cream sundae to end the tears, it was time for Cash's torture. His screams came fast and loud after his two shots but ended quickly as soon as I picked him up. I hate that I always have to be the bad guy and hold the kids down since Daddy has never made it to one of these poking sessions due to his own fear of needles. At least, I get to be the first one to hold and hug them!

Silly Day

Tuesday, November 3

In honor of Dr. Seuss week at school, the kids had a silly day. The teacher read Wacky Wednesday and the kids were supposed to dress wacky. I think the other kids just wore silly socks or a silly hat. But, oh no, Brady had to go all out. Just look! His teachers cracked up when he stepped out of the car. They said it looked like he had just gone rollerblading. BTW, the shirt he's wearing was Daddy's when he was a little boy. Talk about silly!

Snip Snip

I think this might of been one of the hardest days for me as a mom since Brady had his tonsils removed. After weeks of putting it off, Greg finally made me take Cash to get his hair cut. I've always loved running my fingers through his blonde hair and just today some stranger commented on how beautiful his hair was. Not really the statement I wanted to hear just before going to get his gorgeous locks cut off. I was literally sobbing in the lobby of TGF. Marrissa, Greg and Brady's hairstylist (and now Cash's), saw this which is why I'm certain she was so "gentle" with the scissors. I think she was scared she would have a hysterical woman on her hands if she cut too much off. So, here it is:

The "Before" Shot
Bye Bye Ponytail
Here We Go
Such a Good Boy (he never made a peep)

The "After" Shot - My Handsome Boy

Tough Guy

The other day Cash was being a toot. First he hit Mommy's back. Of course, I told him, "No, no." So Cash then decided to hit Brady's back instead. I warned Cash if he did it again that he would go to timeout. Well, stinker Cash giggled and hit Brady again. Cash immediately had to go to timeout. I heard Brady behind me saying, "Take that tough guy." I assumed Brady was playing with Spiderman or Batman but then Brady shouted really loud and forcefully, "Take that tough guy, Cash!" It was so funny and so hard not to laugh!
