Laughing Gas

Tuesday, March 27, 2012

Poor Brady had to have a "baby root canal" so in order to ease the pain, Dr. Paula administered laughing gas before the procedure. He really was quite a sight. I don't know what was funnier: the silly contraption Brady had to wear or the silly jokes Brady told until his laughing gas wore off!

(Brady's team mom said at the end of the ride she noticed Brady was just sitting in the back of the truck eating candy. He still had over half a bag left because he was just hoarding it for himself! Ha ha!)

Let the Races Begin!!!

Drivers, start your engines!!!
Vroom, vroom! It was a photo finish!!!
Cash had so much fun racing! I love seeing that smile!!!
Getting ready for the tire relay! On your mark, get set, GO!
The obstacle course was a fan favorite!
Cash needed a little turbo boost to jump into the tire. Weeee!
Cash was thrilled to make race car mud tracks with chocolate pudding! Yummy (and messy)!
The completed masterpieces drying along the fence.
The drivers loved designing their own race cars!
Artists at work!
Oopsies!
Cash was so eager to open presents that we had to wait for cake. It was his day so we did exactly what the birthday boy wanted!
Make a wish!

Bartels Speedway

Saturday, March 17, 2012

Rev up your engines for Cash's 4th birthday party!!! This year we had a small birthday in honor of our favorite race care driver Cash because his happiness was our main priority. In the past years, he has always been so overwhelmed and uncomfortable by the crowds at his and Brady's parties to the point that he does not enjoy himself one bit. With this in mind, we only invited over nine little friends and their families to keep the guest list to a minimum. We had eleven race car drivers total at his party, everything turned put perfectly, and most importantly, Cash had fun!!!

Our Pit Crew!
Welcome Race Fans to the Bartels Speedway!
The Winners Table complete with cupcakes and trophies for each driver!
All drivers had to register in order to receive their racing helmets and steering wheels. This was official business!
All race car drivers were required to have their own drivers license with photo.
All spectators needed a pit crew pass to enter the speedway.
Everyone "fueled up" at the concession stand which consisted of Dipsticks (chocolate covered pretzel rods), Nuts and Bolts (trail mix), and my favorite, Spare Tires (chocolate covered doughnuts). We also had some Speedway Dogs and Not-So-Fast Nachos. If you were thirsty, you could guzzle some gasoline to wet your engines, don't worry it was just bottled water.
The Pit Stop.
Brady and Nathan playing in the Pit Stop.
The Gas Station.
All the drivers were quickly making sure their cars were ready before the big races!
