Brady's 7th Birthday Party

Saturday, October 20, 2012

Brady has been counting down the days all month for his Star Wars party! He had so much fun helping me pick out decorations at the party store and assembling all of his Star Wars ships and action figures to help set the mood at his party. Brady was very specific on what he wanted this year. I had to consult with him before any purchase. He wanted everything to look like the "real" Star Wars and not the cartoon Clone Wars or Lego Star Wars. He even picked out the color scheme. I think I have a fellow party planner in the making!

I can't believe my little Jedi is almost seven years old! As you can see, he loves posing for the camera!

All the young padawans at the party feasted on Yoda Cookies, Jabba Grapes, Ewok Snacks (trail mix), Light Sabers (chocolate dipped pretzel rods), Leia Buns (pecan swirl pastries), Death Star Donuts (chocolate donut holes), Han Solo Carbonite Jello (jello with a Han Solo action figure trapped inside), and Padawan Pizza.

We all needed some Yoda Soda to wash those goodies down.

Every young padawan was equipped with light sabers and robes in order to endure their upcoming rigorous Jedi training.

We ate some yummy Yoda Cookies to fuel up for our training.

Our first order of business was to free Han Solo from the carbonite. All of the kids got a huge kick out this and enjoyed eating the jello.

Brady was tickled that he was the chosen one to eat Han Solo.

Let the Jedi Training begin!!! And who better to do this than the one and only...Darth Vader!!!

They learned how to cross the deadly swamp.

They practiced crawling swiftly through underground tunnels.

They battled with two light sabers and fended off flying asteroids.

They learned how to secretly break into enemy territory.

Brady succeeded his training and became a Jedi Knight declaring that he would help the Jedi protect Earth.

All of the young padawans passed Jedi training with flying colors and received an official Jedi Knight certificate.

Brady demonstrated his light saber skills on the pinata. He was so good that no one else was able to battle the Darth Vader pinata because he broke it on his first and only turn. I think it was the Jedi training!

Make a wish!

May the force be with you!

The Jedi's mastered their new skills battle after battle. I think they had more fun playing with their light sabers than anything else. Talk about the perfect boy party!

Uncle Scott was brave enough to get in on the action!

Uncle Anthony reincarnated as Obi Wan Kenobi at the end of the night to wish Brady a very happy birthday!
