Again, the cold weather has been keeping us trapped inside. I can’t wait for nicer weather so we can go out to play and get some much needed energy out. In the mean time to keep busy, we have been creative around here with crafts, coloring, and other fun stuff, not too mention a lot of movies to Brady’s satisfaction.
The other day we baked some fun bug shaped blueberry muffins thanks to a bug baking pan from Grandma. The boys helped pour, mix, lick the batter and Brady even counted my 50 strokes for me. (I apologize for the mom bragging I’m about to do but this is basically my baby book and I have to document these milestones. Sorry for the obnoxiousness.) For the last couple of months, Brady has been able to count to 100 flawlessly! He is so smart that it kind of scares me. He actually thinks he can count to 1,000 but it’s so cute I don’t have the heart to correct him. He will count to one hundred perfectly then goes “one A hundred, two A hundred, three A hundred”, and so on until he proudly reaches one thousand! I just love the “A” he adds every time that I can’t help but smile. One of these days when I’m prepared to spend all day listening to a thousand numbers, I’ll have to sit him down and teach him the right way. Until then I’m sticking to this new number system!
Speaking of love bugs, another moment I want to remember in my baby book, is that randomly throughout the day, my sweet Brady Bear looks at me and says, “Mommy, I love you” or will say “Mommy, I have a surprise for you” and then will give me a hug and kiss. Then Cash will run over and imitate Brady and give me a hug. They just melt my heart.
