Our "Egg"cellent Easter Day

Sunday, April 4, 2010

We had an "egg"cellent easter day which started bright and early with the boys being super "egg"cited to see what was in the Easter baskets. The smart Easter Bunny left them some of their favorite Imaginext toys and some yummy candy. Brady liked the jelly beans the best, Cash not so much! After opening all of our goodies, we dyed some eggs and then got all dressed up to have brunch at the Clubhouse with Uncle Steve and Rene. The best part of the meal was definitely the Easter Bunny visiting with us while we ate. Cash was a little scared at first. While I was making my plate, I heard him screaming for dear life back at the table as he saw the bunny approaching. I can easily see how this would scare a little guy!

Oh wait, did I mention we had several egg hunts before going to brunch (and after)? How could I forget those?!? Brady and Cash love finding Easter eggs over and over again!

After a mid afternoon nap, we had some egg relay races and made a few Easter crafts. The bunny painted with footprints for his ears will be something you see year after year so I can look at how much the boys have grown. Then Uncle Scott arrived and we ambushed him in the front yard with the some confetti egg bombs (cascarones)! We were all one big mess after the egg fight! Later, we went to feed the ducks with Aunt Betty, while Rene made a delicious pork loin dinner for all us. Greg is still talking about his homemade macaroni and cheese! Thank you Rene for the "egg"ceptional dinner!
