We had some action packed web-slinging fun at Brady's 5th birthday party! Brady and his friends started the party off pretending to be spiderman in their party masks and actively chasing each other with web-slingers around the park. Between catching the bad guys and scaling the walls, we munched on spider-fic party food: Green Goblin Pumpkins (chicken nuggets), Lizard Bombs (green grapes), Sandman Cubes (cheese cubes), and my personal favorite Doc Octopus Dogs (hotdogs cut to look like octopuses) with some Venom Juice on the side (ketchup). Yum yum!
Much to their surprise, guess who swung into the party...the amazing SPIDERMAN himself!!! Brady was thrilled and awestruck! Spidey proceeded to tell everyone that he needed to expand his hero squad and was looking for new members on his superhero team. All the kids were put through a rigorous training session which included catching villains, escaping through a sewer, attacking pumpkin bombs, and web crawling...you know, your typical superhero stuff. Upon completion of the training, everyone received a personalized hero card and Brady was presented to the crowd on Spiderman's shoulders as an honorary life-time member of the Spidey Club. After the party, Brady told me that if I was ever in trouble, not to worry because he could save me since he's a real superhero now! My HERO!!! I'm so proud of the big boy that Brady is becoming!
