We had the best time on a trip to the HIll Country with our friends Nathan, Nolan, Claire, and Baby Madeleine. We stayed for two nights in an historic home in Spring Creek, Texas. During the day, we had fun exploring, riding our bikes, and playing hide and go seek. We also stayed busy with a ton of crafts: macaroni necklaces, Indian head dresses, play-do, painting, and some foam crafts. The kids had the most fun coloring their new playhouse and using teamwork to put it together. At night, we put the kids to bed and the mommies sat by the fireplace talking. We tried to stay up as late as we could because we were all a little (me a lot) spooked out in the old creaking house. Next time, I vote we either bring the daddies along or bring a ghost kit.
Notice the bottom picture: Cash is sitting right next to Claire. All weekend, he did not leave her side. All it took was for her to hold his hand one time down the stairs and Cash was immediately smitten with her. Nathan watch out, you now have some competition for sweet Claire. He kept asking "Where Claire" and would fight to sit next to her. Look at how cute she is, who wouldn't want to be close to her? We are so sad are friends are moving again, this time out of state. As if San Antonio wasn't far enough away!
